Bronco vs Blazer Interior

Whether you enjoy off-roading, shopping, or just driving around, you will spend a lot of time in the cabin.

The Bronco offers plenty of wiggle room in the front seat:

  • Front headroom: 41 inches
  • Front hip room: 56.3 inches
  • Front legroom: 43.1 inches

If you hop inside the Blazer, you get a little less room:

  • Front headroom: 39.8 inches
  • Front hip room: 55.6 inches
  • Front legroom: 41 inches

Sit in the Ford's available 10-way power driver seat with the optional 8-way power passenger seat-both of which can be equipped with heat. Although you do get adjustable front seats in the Chevy, the power driver seat offers eight ways, and the power front passenger seat provides six ways for adjustments.

Entertainment features differ from one SUV to the next. With the Ford vehicle, your dashboard will light up with the brilliance of the available SYNC® 4 system with 12-inch touchscreen. As you pound the ground, pump up your tunes through the optional B&O™ Sound System with 10 speakers.

A standard Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System supplies you with an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen from which you can operate the available Bose® premium 8-speaker audio system.

Those who enjoy using their car for camping or other trips can stow their gear-including a tent, sleeping bags, and food-within the 77.6 cubic feet of cargo space you'll find in the Bronco 4-door model. Pack your items for a road trip or getaway in the 64.2 cubic feet allowed in the Blazer.

Ford Bronco vs Chevy Blazer Safety

One major difference between these two vehicles centers on the standard and available safety systems.Ford provides many of their safeguards with every trim, including:

  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking
  • BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert
  • Lane-Keeping System

Unfortunately, comparable systems in the Chevy must be added in higher trim levels, like Front Pedestrian Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Very few-if any-systems come standard in every trim of the Blazer.

Ford Bronco vs Chevy Blazer Performance

At first glance, you may assume that quantity means quality when it comes to engines. Yes, the Bronco sports only two engine options, and the Blazer offers three, but that's not the end of the story. The horsepower and torque issuing from the available 2.7L EcoBoost® engine in the Ford exceeds all three Chevy engines. With the 2.7L engine, you benefit from 310 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The Blazer gives you 308 horsepower-which nearly equals the Bronco-and 258 lb-ft of torque.

When you're looking for ways to handle diverse conditions on the road or the back trails, stick with the Ford Bronco. Use the standard Terrain Management System™ to switch between five drive modes: Sand, Slippery, Sport, Eco, and Normal. A few extra ones like Mud/Ruts, Rock Crawl, and Baja round it out to make a versatile off-roader.

You can also use a variety of 4x4 systems and traction systems in the Bronco to really ramp up the road action. The Blazer simply doesn't have these types of systems.
